Oh well. That's not important. Not the easiest nor the hardest empress to get, this Julia was Elagabalus's Mom and she appears to have been a whole lot less meddlesome in politics compared to her own Mom, Julia Maesa. What happened when Elagabalus and Maesa were stabbed to death is anyone's guess but, really, it's a fantasy to think that she got off easy. Mercy was never a Roman family value! |
