| Notes: | May 8, 08 - I have been unable to find a specific reference for this bronze. However, a silver (AR) coin, exact in all details, other than weight, size and metal, is listed in Greek Coins and Their Values: Sear #6726
As suggested by Sear, this may have been a transitional type, - "This very rare type seems to indicate that the decision to continue issuing Thraco-Macedonian coins in the name of Philip II was not taken immediately on the accession of Alexander." Feeback is welcomed. |
