Notes:	Oct 14, 08 - Nero was a pompous, cruel pansy and all-around right bastard of an emperor whose personal antics were frowned upon by some and ridiculed by everyone else. All, of course, behind his back since any whiff of disrespect to His Majesty would be an instant death sentence. This was after all the guy who kicked his pregnant wife to death, had his own Mom put to sleep (not that she didn't deserve it) and was insensitive enough to throw a poetry reading party as Rome went up in flames in the background. But with all that he still managed to bedeck the halls of Rome with gold and marble and foster a long lasting art movement that was otherwise somewhat uncharacteristic for the otherwise austere, no-nonsense Roman populace. In the end, his excesses finally became too much and as faraway generals began rebelling one by one his friends in Rome quickly turned tail and he was surrounded by some very, very pissed-off senators, soldiers and ordinary citizens. He fled to the hills but was chased down and decided being the director to his own death show was ever so slightly more preferable than whatever this mob had in mind for him. So he stabbed himself in the neck and that was it for Nero.
