Coin:Good Bronze Decanummium or Quarter Follis
D N IVSINIANVS P P AV - Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right
- Large I in center with ANNO to left and regnal year to right
Exergue:
Mint:Nicomedia (548 CE?)
Wt./Size/Axis:2.84g / 14mm / 270
References:
  • Cf. Sear 206
Notes:Mar 19, 09 - Due to the quality of the coin, I am unable to determine the regnal year in which it was minted. I can clearly see an X with an I under it to the right of the large I in the center of the reverse. The position of these letters appears (to me) to best match coins of this type from regnal year 21 which corresponds to about 548 CE.
