Notes:May 4, 09 - CONSTANTINE II was a son of Constantine, the Great. After the death of his father he became ruler of the western part of the Roman Empire. His 2 brothers took the central and eastern regions of the empire. He eventually fought with his brother and co-ruler, Constans, over the possesion of Illyria. Constantine II was slain in an ambush near Aquileia in 340 AD.
