Notes:Mar 10, 10 - The Villa Publica served as the censors’ base of operation. It was erected on the Campus Martius in 435 BCE. According to Livy, the first census was compiled there the year it was built. The building, or bulidings were restored and enlarged in 194 BCE and again in 34 BCE and was still standing as late as the 2nd Century CE. Its location is currently unknown but it mayhave been located just north of the modern Piazza del Gesù, the circus Flaminius and the temple of Bellona, This location is based on historical record of the senate having heard the groans of the four thousand prisoners taken in the battle of the Colline Gate in 82 B.C., who were being massacred by Sulla's orders within the Villa, while assembled in the temple of Bellona.

From the RSC: T. Didius was consul in 98 BCE and subsequently proconsul of Spain and at the end of the year was given the title Imperator and a triumph at Rome. From the type, it would appear that he restored or embellished the Villa Publica on that or a subsequent occasion. The moneyer P. Fonteius was probably related to the Didia gens by marriage and bust of Concord would represent the good feeling between the two families.
