This coin serves as the spiritual successor to this coin: http://www.tantaluscoins.com/coins/27996.php Exceptionaly rare coin, possibly produced in conjunction with some sort of ceremony or celebration. This is the only example of this coin I've seen sold on the open market. Victory reverse types as a category are very rare and typicaly only appear at major venue auctions. I am aware of only two sold in the past ten years. I also know of approximately 6 other specimens located in Germany and Serbia, all held by a few private collectors and one museum. |
