Notes:Jun 10, 10 - Unlisted variant of Martin 1.25.8, it is likely that Martin miss cited this coin in the 1.25.8 entry. Unlisted variant of the coin imaged in Boric-Brescovic 280 (coin not correctly cited). Unlisted variant of Jekov # 8. Unlisted in Pick, Varbanov, Moushmov, and SNG Germany.

This coin's biggest item of note its variant obverse legend using the word "AVGVST" instead of the standard "AVG". While specimens are not unheard of, they only appear infrequently on the market to the tune of perhaps one every several months, and often specimens are in rather poor condition. The standard version weighs in with a rarity rating of R2 in Jekov, but this variant probably falls somewhere in the R6 or higher range. While a bit worn, this coin was well struck and centered on a large flan and is a good example of this rare type.
