| Notes: | Aug 23, 05 - Galba was already an old man when he became emperor. A consumate hardass who believed the cure for Rome was strong medicine to counter Nero's effete influence on the citizenry and military he ended up instead making enemies right and left creating just the right conditions for a mutiny. And a mutiny is just what happened within a few months which quickly ended in Galba being dragged out to the street and skewered on the spot.
Because of the short duration of his stay at the top Galba's coins are very sought after and expensive even if not particularly rare. |
