It is a Maria Theresa of Hungary, Thaler, minted after her death and up until 1985, they are still by law legal. An all look the same. Several mints have produced them, a quick search on Google will give you more information. AVSR is on all these, after her death. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maria_Theresa_of_Austria Bruce |
Stuert2000,
You have got a Thaler (most likely a restrike),which comes from Austria, not Hungary. Maria Theresa Thaler restrikes were used in east Africa (especially Eritrea & Ethiopia),the Middle East,& in the Far East. Aidan. |

Hey Guys!
To those who are in collecting coins and also use it as a means of investments. Rather going into MLM business, I say www.onlinecoinwealth.com is the best way to contact. |
Re: help Identify a coin.
I was reading my AORTA book today, and finally made it to the end and saw that Dirty Old Coins was founded in 2002. So, 2012 would be 10 years? A full decade!
