Does it allow you to print 2 x 2 flips?

Can you upload data into it?

Default Program

Actually, I not adding but expressing a concern.... Tantalus is a GREAT program, and full of resources.... even though it has a slight cost I like it being on line... and backed up to boot.

Why anyone would opt for a different program is mind puzzling to me. There is so much avaliable here on Tatalus.

Additionally, Tantalus, is constantly upgrading, offering more to everyone and tries to customize for all the clientel.

Mr. K.,
There is a big difference between a coin registry & a numismatic inventory program.MeBnet is a numismatic inventory program that you can download for FREE onto your computer's Desktop.

I hope that answers your question.

Mr. K,

I use both Tantalus and Moneta. I use both because there are features tha are unique to each that I like.

Tantlaus has the grids, internet access, fields for provenance and a number of other feautures not available on Moneta.

Moneta has ID assistance, automatically fills in some fields and reference areas that are not available from Tantalus. Additionally, I find the search ability and flips programs better on Moneta.

I have considered eliminating one or the other many times but the differences are too great for me to give up either of them.

Regards,

Matt

Matt,
What is Moneta? Is that another numismatic registry?

MeBnet is a way of helping you to keep a record of what you have got in your own collection.

Default Program...

Matt:
Well that does give me pause for thought... I have not played with too many programs.... I found myself in the past jumping around way too much from parts of this and parts of that but I do see your point.

I went to take a look but I don't read Italian..... is the program in English?

Mr. K,
The first link in the top thread is the link to the download in English. There are versions in 4 other languages, including Italian, for those who want to have a version in another commonly spoken European language.

The letters 'ENG' is the clue.

Moneta is just the name of the program. The program is in English and geared toward Rome Imperial and Provincial coins. I have customized my copy to add Byzantine, Medieval, Modern, etc....

I believe the cost of the proram is under $100. The program can be bought at a number of online locations like Common Bronze www.commonbronze.com, Forum www.forumancientcoins.com or directly from the developer at www.numus.com. The programmer, Tom, is very helpful when you have problems.

Regards,

Matt
