Tantalus relaunched as a free service

Dear Tantalus users:

In an ongoing effort to improve the service a major upgrade to the site now has several new features. Among these,

- Tantalus has gone from a subscription model with a 30-day free trial to a fully free service with optional features available to paid memberships.

- The monthly subscription has been lowered from $5.95 to $3.00 for paid members. The free membership accounts are supported by targeted ads.

- In addition to credit card payments, Tantalus now accepts Paypal as well.

- A new "spreadsheet" view allows for at-a-glance viewing of your collection by either coin type or album name. This initial version will have added functionality in the months to come as we gather feedback from users on how to improve this tool.

- Sellers now benefit from several new improvements including a feedback system, a more customized store view as well as a shortened URL to this store for ease in marketing over the internet.

- Data entry streamlining is another priority that is being given attention. Tantalus now deafults to the coin type and album used on your last record.

There have been many more minor enhancements made to improve the speed and operability of the site. We hope you enjoy its use as much as we enjoy improving the interface and new features!

I look forward to trying the new options. The spreadsheet issue was one I was about to pose as a suggestion.

Just a note, when will the new features for paid accounts be accessible? As of now, when I try to use them I am asked to update my account. I tried to do that and I am now paid through November 1 (I don't need you to reverse the charges).
