![]() Hi everybody,
I'm new on these forums (even if somebody could know me from Forvm's discussion boards: Federico M). I don't know if you already discussed this issue, but I'm just writing to suggest you to adopt creative commons as standard for the non-completely proprietary images of coins. See: http://creativecommons.org/ This is not a "new" project: as an example, Flickr is using these licenses as possible standard choices for user: http://www.flickr.com/help/photos/?search=copyright#87 Another useful aspect of using Creative Commons to license one's creation is that Yahoo and Google and other search engines are implementing searches by license: http://search.creativecommons.org/ Best regards, Federico |

![]() I agree that it would be a good idea to use Creative Commons tags to let folks know they are free to use images we've uploaded on their web sites and maybe even in numismatic books.
Would this need a software changes to Tantalus coins or is there a way I can indicate this using the existing fields? |

![]() this functionality is already present in the manage albums tab. "non-commercial right to publish" would be the equivalent of creative commons, no?

![]() I second the general use of Creative Commons licenses. I use this facility on all of my Web pages.

![]() The W3C has published a Member Submission: The Creative Commons Rights Expression Language as an RDF associated implementation. I have included attribution information at http://jp29.org/rdfaprimer.php
