![]() Hi: First of all let me say that I really enjoy the site and the features and specially the "look." I'm a new member and I have been posting some of my coins. No particular order just as I happen to pull them from the box. I now have about 30 coins posted and was wondering if there is a way to sort them by emperor so that they are easier to track. Even better if they would automatically sort when they are posted. Keep up the good work. Top notch site. Thanks

![]() Welcome! As a fellow user let me mention that you can do a search with both your username in the "username" slot AND any keyword (emperor, etc.) in the "keyword" field. This should show only the coins you have entered which match that emperor (or any keyword).

![]() Kerux: Thank you for the welcome and the response. I have been using both of the features you mentioned and they work good. Its just that I was looking for a way to look at all of the coins at once in emperor chronology. Just being picky

![]() saturninos thanks for posting your suggestion. what you're asking for is actually on the programmer's to do list. seeing that tantalus aims to cover all coin types from al periods and cultures it's going to be complex to integrate alternate sort orders for every type available but i'm determined to find a way and will have a solution soon.

![]() maybe i'm confused too but the current plan calls for alternate sort orders WITHIN your private collection browsing. as soon as you log in you're brought into the first album (alphabetically). from here and in your other albums you will be able to have a number of sort orders available rather than just the chronological order.

![]() Gentlemen: what I was thinking about was, that when I opened up my Imperial Rome section, my coins would be sorted by emperor chronology, irregardless of the input date/sequence; i.e. the Diocletians would all be grouped together followed by the Constantines, followed by the Julians, etcetera.
I guess that one way that it could be done is to have a second category under the Roman Imperial for each of the emperors so that when you "click" Roman Imperial, a list of emperors would open up and then you would "click" the emperor and that would take you to the form with the emperor name already inserted. By the way what category would you clasify reproduction casino chips under???? ![]() |

![]() If you have a collection of several emperors one way to do this would be to have an album for each but it would get awkward if you had very many albums!
Personally, I would put casino chips under the U.S. or World coin types and then use the Type field to further classify them. Ras |

![]() Thank you for the guidance. I think you are right, it would probably tend to get awkward as I have over 40 different emperors. I was just looking for a way to post my entire collection of ancients on the web so that I could work on it while I travel and I liked the overall look of your site, it looked classy. Thanks
