Default Exporting as CSV file

I have been trying to export my Tanatlus coin data as a CSV file with no luck. I have had no problems with HTML exports, but the CSV file type has caused me grief. The export is actually a .txt file for me (it appears tab delimited) and when I try and insert the data into Excel, well the result is a dog's breakfast. The headings and columns don't align, and blank fields seem to cause mayhem.
Has anyone exported in this format successfully and put the data in excel? Any tips?

Thanks

Dan

Default

I have found a work-around of sorts. I went to the 'spreadsheet view' option on Tantalus, copied the text (including the column headers for the first page only) and pasted into excel using 'paste special - unicode text', then repeated for the following pages. Then all I have to do to clean it up is remove unused columns and change headers where appropriate, and I can simply paste into my personal Bento database where I can click and drag the photos.
Phew!

A nice neat .csv export would seem a better way though!

Cheers

Dan
