About this user:

My name is Rasiel Suarez. I have been a fulltime numismatist since 2001 with a focus on Roman Imperial and Byzantine coins.

In 2002 I co-founded Dirty Old Coins, LLC which in the years since has gone on to become an internationally renowned company servicing the needs of beginning ancient coin collectors. The company sells a product line carried by many stores and a number of national catalogs including National Geographic.

In 2005 I published The Encyclopedia of Roman Imperial Coins (ERIC), a book on Roman coins which went on to be awarded one of the top ten most sought after books in the U.S. after selling out.

In 2006 I launched a coin certification program as well as offering photography services through Dirty Old Coins. More on these two at http://www.dirtyoldcoins.com/services

In November of 2010 I released the second edition of ERIC which went on to receive 4th place in the coveted Foreword "Book of The Year" awards, reference category.

My latest book Aorta, an adaptation of ERIC II, was published November 2011.
